Emma Downie and Sylwester Lukasik, the two PASS candidates who attempted the Part A examination of the Mastership in Chemical Analysis this year, have been successful.
The postgraduate exam, which focusses on analytical chemistry, is the first step towards the qualification that will enable Emma and Sylwester to be appointed as public analysts. They will now move onto Part B which covers analysis of food, animal feed and water and the law relating to these areas.
Alan Richards, Head of Scientific Services, said "I am very pleased at Emma and Sylwester's success. It's great to see new talent coming through and I wish them every success in the next stage of their studies.
