Beating the Cheats: PASS at the Government Chemist Conference

Food fraud, safety and authenticity were on the agenda at the Government Chemist conference in London on 24-25th November. Public analysts, enforcers and the food industry met to discuss how to detect food fraud and protect UK consumers.

PASS public analysts Alan Richards, Liz Moran and Nigel Payne were at the conference and Liz presented ideas for modernising the public analyst service, focussing on the example of the Wolverhampton lab and how the implementation of Lean ways of working have improved quality and efficiency.

PASS acts as public analyst for more local authorities than any other provider and has been forefront in the drive to improve services and value for money for its customers.
